Policies, Terms, and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this web site as well as all transactions conducted through the site or through our store. To insure a pleasant shopping experience, please contact us with questions regarding these policies before you make a purchase as most sales are final.

RETURNS
Returns are allowed for DAMAGED items only. In the event that you receive an item you believe to be damaged, please CONTACT US immediately.

Please note that if the item has shipped, the order cannot be canceled. In this case, you can request to EXCHANGE the item. For EXCHANGES, see our EXCHANGE Policy as listed above.

REFUNDS
Refunds can be received up to 7 days after receiving the item. You must contact us within 7 days or else you will be unable to receive your refund even if you have a valid reason.

You may need to return a damaged product (or fragments which demonstrate reasonable evidence of breakage in the case of international orders) to us for assessment. To notify us, please submit your request via the CONTACT US page at www.TheChocolateWalrus.com.

We may also request that you photograph the damaged item to substantiate your claim and to support us with dealing with our workshop.

The only instance where refunds will be granted is in the event that a product is delivered damaged. The customer must send the item back to our store where we will confirm the item is in fact damaged. Once we have confirmed the damage, please allow up to 2 weeks or more for the refund to post back to your account.

If an item is the wrong size it will be classified as an EXCHANGE and not a REFUND.

IMPORTANT:
As inventory fluctuates hourly, an item indicated as “in stock” when you place your order may, in fact, be out “out of stock.” In this event, we make every effort to contact you by email immediately to notify you that your order will be placed on backorder. The email will also provide you with information on how to cancel the order if you would prefer not to wait for the item to be in stock again.

Your privacy is important to us. All information collected or submitted on The Chocolate Walrus website & online store will remain as secure and confidential as possible.

SPECIAL ORDERS
All special orders will be delivered within 6-8 weeks of the order. Once construction has begun, special orders cannot be CANCELED. EXCHANGES are allowed for damaged items only. Because special order items are made specifically for you, you cannot EXCHANGE or RETURN the item unless the item is damaged.

 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
International orders are welcome. We ship all over the globe!

Buyer is responsible for any customs/duties charges. The Chocolate Walrus cannot be held accountable for any delays in delivery due to customs procedures. It is the responsibility of the buyer to contact their country’s customs in the case of detained packages. Shipping charges will be billed again for any unclaimed orders that must be re-sent.

All prices listed are accurate to the best of our ability. In the rare case an item is listed incorrectly, The Chocolate Walrus reserves the right to refuse to sell the item at the listed price.

Please note that upon placing an order, a receipt is automatically mailed confirming the purchase intent.

This receipt does not constitute a contract, and orders may be canceled at any time due to insufficient stock, inability to authorize a credit card, suspicion of fraudulent intent, discovery of an incorrect item price, or any other reason, as we see fit. Please further note that The Chocolate Walrus shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not your credit card has been charged. If your credit card has already been charged and your order is canceled, The Chocolate Walrus shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount that was charged.

Shipping fees include handling and packing fees as well as postage costs.
Handling fees are fixed, whereas transport fees vary according to total weight of the shipment. We advise you to group your items in one order. We cannot group two distinct orders placed separately, and shipping fees will apply to each of them.

The Way We Use Information:

We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.
We use the information you provide about someone else when placing an order only to ship the product and to confirm delivery. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not shared with outside parties.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
